Who deserves it?

Privacy

The site works without an account and only collects what it strictly needs.

What we store

  • Published ballots: settings or ranking, plus the username and title you choose. They are public.
  • Votes: tied to a random identifier, with no link to your identity.

No email, no password, no ads.

Cookies

bdo_voter, set on your first vote: a random ID that remembers your votes so you can change them, kept for 13 months. NEXT_LOCALE, set if you switch language, to remember it. Both are strictly necessary. Audience measurement sets no cookie at all.

Audience measurement

To understand how the site is used, PostHog (hosted in the European Union) measures page views and a few actions: weights set, publishing, votes, shares, clicks on menus, players, ballots and support links, player searches without the text typed, language switch. It works without cookies or browser storage: visits are grouped by a hash computed on PostHog's servers and renewed every day, and the IP address is not kept. No session recording, no named profile, nothing sold. You can opt out below; that choice is kept in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which keeps technical logs (including IP addresses) to run the service and keep it secure.

Your rights

To have a published ballot removed or to exercise your rights (access, deletion), write to eric@whodeserves.it. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
