FAQ and method
Stats
Adjusted output = goals × value of a goal + assists × value of an assist, with each competition multiplied by its coefficient.
Champions League and World Cup: 1 for everyone. League and domestic cups: the coefficient of the player's league, LaLiga and Premier League 1 · Bundesliga 0.9 · Ligue 1 0.85 · Serie A 0.8 · Saudi Pro League and MLS 0.5. No playing-time criterion: an injured player already loses goals and assists. Stats only count goals and assists, so defenders score few points here, by design. To lift them, lean on trophies and impact, or rank by hand.
Trophies
Each trophy has a score from 1 to 10 that you set. Two fixed multipliers apply: league strength on the league title (LaLiga and Premier League 1, Bundesliga 0.9, Serie A 0.8, Ligue 1 0.75, Saudi Pro League and MLS 0.4) and the player's involvement. A trophy counts 50% for being part of the squad, plus 50% based on the player's start rate across all of the team's matches in the competition: start 4 matches out of 8 and it counts 75%. Super cups and domestic cups count only once each. A trophy won without being in the matchday squad (so without a medal) does not count. Continental cups for national teams (AFCON, Euro, Copa América) have their own score; for AFCON 2025, Senegal, winners on the pitch, are counted.
Impact
A public scale, based only on verifiable facts:
- Decisive in the knockouts (capped at 50): each goal or assist in the Champions League or World Cup knockout rounds earns 1 point up to the round of 16, 3 in the quarter-finals, 5 in the semi-finals, 8 in the final. Big games weigh more. The third-place match doesn't count.
- Official awards (capped at 30): World Cup best player or UEFA Player of the Season 20, Silver Ball 12, Bronze Ball 8, Golden Shoe 10, Champions League top scorer 10, league Player of the Season 8.
- Deep runs (capped at 20), as a starter, in the Champions League and at the World Cup: title won 10, lost final 7, semi-final 4, quarter-final 2.
You set the weight of each part. The scale remains an editorial choice, which is why the impact block's weight can go all the way down to zero.
Normalization
The three blocks don't share the same scale: stats run into the hundreds of points, trophies and impact into the tens. To make them comparable, each block is scaled to 100: the best player in the block gets 100, the others get a share in proportion to that player's points.
Stats example: the top player has 700 points and gets 100. A player on 350 points gets 50, a player on 70 points gets 10.
The total then blends the three scores according to your percentages.
Example with 40% stats, 30% trophies, 30% impact: a player scoring 50 in stats, 100 in trophies and 80 in impact gets 40% × 50 + 30% × 100 + 30% × 80 = 20 + 30 + 24 = 74.
The upshot: a score depends on the other players in the list. A player stronger in stats would lower everyone else's stats score.
